Since that summary was a little thin, let me give you my impressions of the game. It was was a fast clean game with great defense on both sides. We were able to get a few more timely hits in that first inning and then tacked on key runs when we needed it.
Frank pitched an excellent game but it was his defense, (7 total chances- 3 put outs, 4 assists which included an amazing double play on a screaming line drive right back at him) and his offense (3 for 3 with 3 RBI's which included a two on, two out single which scored two after BCA had made it a 3 run game in the top of the third) that was key to the game. I also think it's notable that of the 7 runs Frank allowed, only 4 were earned.
Allen (who was 2 for 3) tied Frank for most RBI's with his 3 run blast in the 1st that hit the infield on Field #2! Allen also mirrored Frank's defensive line, getting 7 chances and having 4 assists and 3 put outs. I believe Frank and Allen should share MVP of the game.
Steve and Jay each had two RBI's and every player in the lineup had a least one hit. In scoring the game off the video, I realized we actually shorted ourselves a run in that first inning on our score sheet. I'm glad that didn't come into play! Speaking of video, I've put a few video highlights up after all the stats below.
